Copper clad steel rod of various dia and length of 254 microns copper coating as per UL467 is available. These copper clad steel rods can also be used as electrodes as replacement to GI electrodes. It is preferred to use ring earthing for safe discharge of lightning currents(i.e., use 4 earth earth rods placed at a distance of 3m and joined together by copper strip of 25*2mm) and exothermically welded. Available in 12mm, 14mm, 17mm, 19mm, 25mm, 32mm and 40mm dia of various lengths.
